Jewelry Care
Sterling Silver is an alloy of silver containing at least 92.5% of Fine Silver. Copper usually makes up the remaining part of the alloy. Copper provides a very important function by increasing Silver's strength and durability. Many high-end jewelers work with Sterling Silver and love its workability and beauty.
As with all fine jewelry, your pieces from DRhew should be treated with care. Please keep them free of hairspray, perfumes, water, chlorine, bleach, lotions, chemicals, and abrasives. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, and sunlight. Without proper care, you increase your risk of getting tarnish stains (grey/black/green skin), damaging your stones, and corroding your Silver. If, you are one of the very few who do experience tarnish stains, you can use a jewelry shield (or even clear nail polish) to coat the part of the piece that touches your skin. You may re-apply it as needed.
Store your jewelry, individually, in a sealed plastic bag. When tarnish does occur, use a silver polishing cloth to restore your piece to its original luster.
If you care for your silver properly, it can give you MANY great years of beauty.
