Amazonite Sterling Silver Earrings

In the gem world, there are special stones made from bonding one material to another.  Those stones are referred to as composites or doublets.  This process allows the creator to form unique color combinations or use much less rare material and still maintain the appearance of a large piece.  For these earrings, the artist took slices of genuine Amazonite and bonded them to a faceted clear crystal.  The result is so beautiful that I decided to give them a minimal setting with bright sterling silver.
