The fordite in this piece was the very first stone I had custom made.  I tried, three times, to make something from it but it refused to come together.  Even though I wanted it for my own, it seemed like it had other plans.  In the end, I stopped trying to design a piece for myself and this was the result.  I still would have, happily, kept it for my personal collection but I just knew it was destined to go to someone else.  I posted it on my new website and it was the very first thing to sell!  All I can say is that, sometimes, the stone knows where it wants to be.  :)
